Still relatively new to the world of teaching, I have loved every moment of my teaching career and have learnt so much about so many things in this short time. After studying music at Huddersfield University and then achieving my Masters Degree in Composing for Film, I was introduced to the world of teaching when asked to step in as a university tutor. I have come a long way since then, both metaphorically and physically, as I'm now 185 miles further south, and I'm only just beginning.
Working as a teacher is why I get up in the morning. It may not have always been my childhood dream to teach, but once I got a chance to give it a go, I knew I would never want to stop. It's the knowledge that I'm helping young people to grow into the men and women that they've always dreamt of being, and giving them the best skills to live a fulfilling life full of opportunities, that make me sure that I'm doing something that makes a difference. To me, that's all that matters.
