Originally from the North East of England, I moved South in 2005 to complete my PGCE teacher training at Brunel University and started teaching in a multicultural school in Southall, West London. I taught in Southall for over 10 years, and while there, I gained a breadth of experience and had many opportunities one of which included visiting schools in Toronto, Canada.
I looked around Great Kingshill as a prospective parent and while looking around, I felt the warmth and community spirit from all. A teaching opportunity was available and I joined the school in September 2016. In Year 1, I love seeing the learning excitement and engagement on a daily basis and the true importance of a positive learning environment. I am supportive in the classroom and also with current trainee teachers from Astra Teaching College. I currently work along Astra in supporting and training their Primary Trainees.
Outside of school, I am a Mum to two and as a family, we always like to explore the local area. I also set myself fitness goals with the help of a local running group- if you see me running please give me a wave!
