Open Days September 2024 

Is your child due to start Reception or Preschool?

We are holding open days. These will include a talk from our headteachers, our Early Years Leader and a tour of the school.

Wednesday 4th October at 10.30am

Tuesday 17th October at 2pm

Wednesday 15th November at 9.30am

Thursday 16th November at 5pm

The Early Years Foundation Stage

There are seven areas of the Foundation Stage Curriculum which covers from birth to age 5.

The Three Prime areas:

• communication and language
• physical development 
• personal, social and emotional development

Four specific areas:

• literacy
• mathematics
• understanding the world
• expressive arts and design

Assessment

There is a Reception Baseline assessment at the beginning of the Reception year. The end of EYFS assessment takes place at the end of the Reception year and the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile is completed at this point.
