Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to be a teacher and now that I’ve achieved my ambition, I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else! At university I studied English Literature and History and then went on to complete my teaching degree. I have worked in Buckinghamshire throughout my career and have particular experience of teaching in lower KS2.
I am very proud of being part of the teaching profession and come in each morning wanting to do my very best for the wonderful children I teach, my dedicated colleagues and the caring school community. Since joining Great Kingshill in 2017, I have enjoyed supporting Year 3 children through their transition from KS1 to KS2. I am always amazed at how much they develop and grow during this year and I find it very rewarding to be a part of their learning journey. Within school, I am particularly interested in the role of the creative curriculum in primary education. I enjoy seeking fun, engaging and memorable cross curricular links between subjects under an overall theme/topic and this is something I am currently promoting in my role as Humanities coordinator.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, reading and walking my dogs.
