I feel very fortunate that I get to do the job I always dreamed of, becoming a teacher was my Super North Star and my big dream! I studied to be a teacher at the University of Reading and since 2002 have been teaching in a range of Buckinghamshire primary schools. Since becoming a headteacher; I don’t get to spend as much time in the classrooms as I would like as there are many parts to the job, however, I will always consider myself a teacher first and some of most enjoyable days at school are those when I get to go in to classrooms to teach. My passion for educations and teaching children is driven out of a life long ambition that through the little things that we do it is possible to change lives.
Outside of teaching, I am a mum to two primary aged boys, so as you can imagine a lot of my time is spent in the outdoors, watching them playing sports, building Lego and enjoying walking. I am also a keen baker and take great pleasure in creating cakes for all occasions including for my wonderful teaching staff. Living locally to the school also gives me that true sense of being part of something that is making a difference to my community.
