We are proud to offer residential visits for our pupils. To prepare pupils for longer residentials pupils in Year 4 experience the “Big Sleepover” which enables them to stay a night away from home at school in aid of a local homeless charity. This serves as a positive introduction to being away from home for those pupils who have never experienced it before. At the beginning of Year 5 pupils journey to Liddington for an outdoor adventure experience. Having mixed the classes at the end of Year 4 this trip provides a valuable bonding opportunity for pupils as the move into upper KS2. In Year 6 pupils journey to the Isle of Wight, they study the costal landscape and engage in a range of team building and outdoor adventurous activities, the pupils take this trip in March to enable them to use their experiences as a springboard for their writing in the summer term.
