Open Days September 2026

Is your child due to start Reception or Preschool this year?

We will be holding open days on:

30th September @ 9:30am, 8th October @9:30am, 14th October @ 6:30pm & 14th November @ 9:30am

These will include a talk from our headteachers, our Early Years Leader and a tour of the school.

The Early Years Foundation Stage

There are seven areas of the Foundation Stage Curriculum which cover from birth to age 5.

The Three Prime areas:

• Communication and language
• Physical development 
• Personal, social and emotional development

Four specific areas:

• Literacy
• mathematics
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design

Assessment

There is a Reception Baseline assessment at the beginning of the Reception year. The end of EYFS assessment takes place at the end of the Reception year and the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile is completed at this point.
