Welcome to Friends at Play.

We are a Breakfast, After school and Holiday club running to support working parents.

We aim to provide a happy and safe environment for children from ages 3 to 11. We work hard to ensure all staff with the relevant training courses to ensure your children are in the best possible hands.

If you are new to the school, or have not yet visited the club, please feel free to come along and see us. All the staff at Friends at Play are experienced practitioners who will make both you and your little ones feel welcome, taking good care of your precious children, whilst leaving you free to carry on with your busy day, safe in the knowledge they will be both well looked after and...having fun too !

We very much aim to work in line with the OFSTED and the EYFS's framework, therefore it is important to myself and the team to find out what the children have been learning in the classroom so we are then able to compliment and support the children’s learning further whilst at the club. This is carried out by liaising with teachers, as well as working closely with the children to see what has inspired them to become interested and intrigued to learn more.

Whilst we are keen to the children to always be learning and developing new skills we fully appreciate that at the end of a school day it’s just as important to relax and unwind, so play is also a very big part of your child’s time with us.

The children have a variety of equipment available to them whilst in the Club. This is something we build and improve upon throughout each school year. The majority of activities within the Club are child led, this gives them the opportunity to always use their imagination and explore the facilities to the full. Alternatively, the children can take part in constructive play set out by a member of staff, these activities range from, arts and crafts, team games and cookery.

We also have a quiet room, which can be used as a room to read books or for children who wish to complete any homework they may have.

The children also have access to the outdoor area. The Club tries to keep this as a free flow area, so the children always have the opportunity to go outside.

Breakfast served until 8:15

After school club 3:10 -6:15

Fruit snack served at 3:30

Tea served at 4:30
