Medication in School

If your child requires medication in school we are able to administer it to them.  This does not apply to pain relief for a cold/fever.

If your child is needing pain relief then it is probable that they should not be in school.

It is important to note that antibiotics will only be given if they are prescribed for 4 times a day.

We will administer pain relief after an operation or fracture.

A form must be filled in to give the school permission. Without the form we will not give your child the medication.

Form for use is above in PDF format.

Medication must be brought into school by the Parent/Guardian, in the original packaging, and be handed to the school office staff.

If your child has a medical condition it is imperative that we have that information on file for your child so that we can pass this on to a medical professional in an emergency situation.
